Shaughn Vincent Jenkins DipWSET is a passionate & seasoned wine professional with over 10 years of experience in the field of wine, with a focus attuned towards education, sales & promotion, with numerous regional wine specializations & certifications.
Born in Aotearoa-New Zealand & now residing in Adelaide, South Australia, he is currently in the application process for the renowned Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) & recently attended the IMW Symposium 2023.
Specializing in (but not limited to), wine from the regions of New Zealand, Greece, Spain, France & Australia amongst others, Shaughn strives to open the minds & palates of consumers & professionals to a global perspective on wine, to which end he has traversed over 100 wine regions in more than a dozen countries.
When not travelling to study & learn from vintners amongst the vines, he spends his time hosting masterclasses & writing for Through the Cellar Door & other publications, print & online.

Shaughn’s career involves talking about wine for a living, and in doing so passing on his deep passion, interest, & knowledge of wine to every person he meets.
Wine education is a big part of this communication,
which has included educating the steward staff of Air New Zealand, hosting wine events, masterclasses and guided tastings for both the public & professionals, as well as managing cellar doors/tasting rooms and strategizing how regions & producers can bring their wines and cultures to new audiences.

to tell tales that weave unique cultural perspectives together with intricate technical information
to create holistic and enriching learning & storytelling experiences.

Shaughn is a board member of Sommeliers Australia’s South Australian chapter &
retains active memberships with several other Sommelier & Wine organisations internationally.

His network includes a broad ranges of wine professionals including sommeliers, Masters of Wine,
distributors, winemakers, retailers, scientists, viticulturists and more.

When managing Maxwell cellar door it received an award in Gourmet Traveller Wine’s Best Cellar Door Awards 2021 - McLaren Vale.
Currently one of only 200 featured users worldwide on wine review app 'Vivino', which has over 40 million users.
Shaughn is a past finalist for New Zealand Young Wine Professional of the Year.
